Since 31 July 2024, we have once again been offering walk-in appointments – known as open consultation hours – at the BürgerServiceCenter-Mitte. During open consultation hours, applications for travel documents – including provisional travel documents – and change of address notifications are processed. You can register from 30 minutes before the start of open consultation hours.
Please be prepared for waiting times if you wish to make use of this service.

Express counter at the BürgerServiceCenter
You do not need an appointment for the following matters:
- Certificates of good conduct,
- Certifications,
- residence certificates,
- Exemptions from the obligation to carry identification,
- Address changes on identity cards,
- Changing the PIN for your identity card and eID card
Please use the express counters without an appointment.
When are the express counters at the BürgerServiceCenter Mitte open?
Mondays and Thursdays from 07:30 to 17:00, Tuesdays and Fridays from 07:30 to 12:00, and Wednesdays from 07:30 to 13:00.
At the BürgerServiceCenter Mitte, visits are only possible by prior appointment. Appointments can be made online at https://www.service.bremen.de or via the Bremen Citizens’ Helpline on 115 or 0421-361 0. Please use the online booking service where possible.

Note: All other driving licence matters are handled exclusively by the Citizens’ Office – Driving Licences (Driving Licence Office) at the Stresemannstraße Administrative Centre.
